ZAPP is the only real virus for the MSX computer. It was written by Wybe Wijkamp in 1993. The virus infects all COM files and on the screen, the text:

Did you know today;??‘s ZAPP‘s birthday”

Virus.DOS.First.343 (1997) hook INT 21h and writes itself to the end of .COM files that are accessed. The virus contains the text:

Semtex virus (1997) hook INT 8, 21h and write themselves to the end of .COM files that are opened or executed. Sometimes they fill the screen with random data. They contain the texts:

LivingDeath virus (1997). Depending on the system date the virus encrypts the hard drive sectors and displays the messages:

I am the Living Death.
I am coding your hard disk now.
Your FAT is destroyed and his copy is only in memory.
If you set power off, all your data will be lost !!
