Nude by Ken Knowlton and Leon Harmon, 1966. Contrary to popular belief, it does not use ASCII characters but various pictograms. In 1967 the image was printed in The New York Times, and then later exhibited at one of the earliest computer art exhibitions, The Machine as Seen at the End of the Mechanical Age, held Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1968.

By Marge Roemer in the 1950s. She published her book Fun With Your Typewriter in 1956, and it was reviewed by a magazine called Woman’s Day. It has a conservative house-wife/secretary kind of vibe to it.
