Radio Shack TRS-80 Videotex Terminal (Today magazine, Sept/Oct 1982)

2600 is a classic hacker magazine, started in 1984. Back in the days, if you whistled the tone 2600 hz into the phone, you could make free phone calls. That’s where they got their name from.

Today we have 2600 followers, so let’s celebr8 with this ASCII-logo made by cmang.

Typewriter works by W. Graham Darby, 1928. The Houston Post-Dispatch and the Remington Rand Business Service sponsored a contest where readers could submit typewriter works. An image of silent film star and Wild West actor Harry Carey earned W. Graham Darby, of 106 67th St., the first-place prize: a $60 Remington portable typewriter.
